How About some McWedding?

McDonald's is one of the most successful fast food chain in the world. They offer the best Breakfast, Best Fries, Best Burgers, and the famous Happy Meal. Just this year, they have something new to offer and i for one never thought of this. Presenting the McDonald's WEDDING services.
Yup! you read it right. This news is kinda old but just can't resist posting it.

Apparently McDonald's Hongkong is offering wedding receptions as one of their services. "This whole fiasco all all started when a couple who originally met at a Hong-Kong-based McDonald’s decided to get married there. The word quickly spread, prompting couples all across the country to call into McDonald’s asking to make a reservation for their own wedding. Thus a trend was born." According to Helen Cheung of McDonald’s Hong Kong,  "Over the past two years, we've started receiving calls from people who want to have a wedding party in our restaurants. There are about 10 calls a month."

"People said they'd dated here, or met here, and wanted to get married here. "

"We see this as a business opportunity." 

French fries will replace the traditional custom of wedding couples eating cherries and then kissing. Wedding packages starts at HK$1000 ($129), thats roughly around Php5-6k. I wonder how long this service would last and if branches from other countries would follow the trend. Now, who has the guts to ask their fiancée a McDo wedding? (Just be ready to change your facebook status to SINGLE or even a slap on the face if things don't work out! :))
