Music Pick of the Day

The Last song i posted was Wiz Khalifa's Black and Yellow which is now #1 on Billboard's TOP 100. This time around its Young Moola Lil' Wayne with his freestyle version of "Green and Yellow" in support for his Green Bay Packers which btw won the Super Bowl XLV.

Last week's movies was just not that good for me to waste some time of it. This week is better and there are four good movies to look forward to. Family - Alpha and Omega 3D, Romantic Comedy - Just Go With It, Action - Unknown, and lastly Horror/Thriller - Vanishing on 7th Street.

Oh yeah! Its the time of the week again. HIMYM Day. Its Valentine's week and Barney Just declared Feb. 13 as "Desperation Day" and Now that Ted and Zoey are a couple, i wonder what Robin would do to get a date. As The Barnicle just said, Every Women wants a date on V-Day!

Coming Soon: Super Bowl XLV Movie Trailers for 2011

This year is pretty exciting for movie fans, Transformers III, Thor, Capt. America, Kung Fu Panda II, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Super, The Fast and The Furious 5 just to name a few of the most anticipated big name/franchise movies to be shown this year. Every year during Super Bowl, Film Companies release movie trailers for that specific event. They know everyone's watching and its a good marketing strategy. but now a days people watch the Super Bowl not just because of Football but also because of the New Trailers and New Commercials being shown. So for those who missed it (especially for us here) here are the trailers shown during SB XLV.

Throwback Thursday once again and for today we have something from Coldplay. This song "Yellow" was their second mainstream single and they right away achieved world wide fame and from then on, they became a regular hit maker in the alternative rock scene.

Today's pick comes from Nelly and Kelly Rowland. Remember "Dilemma", Well who would have thought that there would be a "Dilemma Pt. 2"? I know people might be raving or maybe disappointed with this release but apparently, Nelly changed the title to "Gone" for the fear of not living up to the original "Dilemma". Dilemma did really well during its released on 2002 and is considered 11th successful song for 2000-09. So maybe Nelly and Co. realized it's too much pressure for "Gone". So far its not yet part of the billboard countdown but the song is really nice, personally i don't see it getting the recognition given to the original but still, the song is really likable.

OPMonday! Today's pick comes from the former? member of the band Southborder. He was a child prodigy a singing and dancing wonder boy who often accompanied Gary Valenciano on his shows and tours all over the country. Now he's part of the ASAP Sessionistas and i think you could catch him regularly during sundays on ASAP. Last Year he released his first solo album "Fly With Me" which also happens to be the same title for his featured single today.

Alternative Friday! Today's song comes from a a self proclaimed "genre-less". It's lead by Ryan Tedder, a known song writer. They started out in myspace and now is one of the most successful band in the music industry. Their first hit single is "Apologize" and it was also remixed with Timbaland. That song became their launching pad to stardom. Their second single "Stop and Stare" was also a hit and since then the band would just release hits after hits. Today's featured song is entitled "Good Life", it is also part of the movies "Eat, Pray, and Love" and "Easy A".

This once speculated PSP Phone now has an official name, the "Xperia Play". It will be shipped running the Gingerbread OS Android 2.3 and features a 4" multitouch 854 x 480 LCD, 1 GHz Snapdragon CPU (MSM8655), 5 megapixel camera, VGA front-facing camera, 512MB of RAM, 1500 mAh battery, stereo speakers, and dedicated game controls. So far there has been news regarding the release date.

its OPMonday once again and today's song comes from a band with a girlie name. The band of 8 was formed in 2006 and they describe their music as a fusion of pop, punk, rock and roll, new wave, and even metal. Combined with serious musicianship and humor which results to sarcasm, idiocy and childish ramblings and yeah before i forget, a hit! who would have thought that this type of genre would even exist and nonetheless go mainstream. They really sound different from your everyday band, but i guess thats what we need to somehow revitalized the music industry. anyway, heres their song "Linda Blair".

Song for today comes from one of the hottest female hiphop/r&b artist of last year. If there's a rookie of the year for that genre, then she might just get it. Onika Tanya Maraj better known as Nicki Minaj is first artist ever to have seven songs within the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. She also is the only female nominated in MTV's Annual Hottest MC List. You can hear her perform with almost everyone in the rap/r&b scene right now. Thats how hot she is by the time being. Her single "Your Love" reached number-one on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart, making Minaj the first female artist to top the chart unaccompanied since 2002.

Today is Throwback Thursday, where i pick music from the past. It may come from the 80s, 90s, or Early 2000. For today my pick is a song from the artist named Ayanna Porter better known as INOJ. One of my favorite artist back in High school. This song is entitled "Time after Time" Enjoy!

"Nintendo 3DS is a category of one, the experience simply doesn't exist anywhere else," Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, said during the 3DS press conference. "You have to see Nintendo 3DS to believe it. And it's like nothing you've ever seen before."
It will also come with an internet browser, the Nintendo eShop where users can buy games and put them directly on the device and built in parental controls. The 3DS will be able to play old Nintendo DS and Gameboy games. It is set to be released on March 27, 2011. Pre-Orders are now accepted at Amazon.com at the retail price of $249.99 USD.

Its from the band named Linkin Park! Its the second single from their latest album "A Thousand Suns". This song doesn't really sound like the previous LP's songs and according from what i have read, "The album has been regarded as a turning point in the band's musical career by notable critics". Nevertheless, I'm still a fan and i think it would really be awesome if they would still succeed despite the change.

How I Met Your Mother Season 6 Episode 14 (LAST WORDS)

Tuesday is How I Met Your Mother Day! Two weeks back, we watched and felt sad/surprised/intrigued about the "Bad News" Marshall got. I personally can't wait for the next episode which was supposedly shown last week but for some reason it wasn't. Now the excitement of watching the next episode is growing and hoping it's a good one. It's hard to think/imagine what they have in-stored for us the next few episodes. So i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Today's featured song is from a rap artist named Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. better known as T.I. most of you know him but somehow there are still a few who dont, or maybe they're just not into hiphop and r&b. anyway, after serving his sentence, he released his 7th studio album entitled "No Mercy" and it's first single "Get Back Up feat. Chris Brown". On the same day he was again sentenced back to prison for violating the terms of his probation. So i guess he never got back up again.. lol. but this song is really good. A message we can all relate to. My favorite verse is

At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.

I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for all of Apple’s day to day operations. I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011.

I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.
